Michael Dunne

Background

Born and raised in the Bay Area by a long lineage of San Francisco natives, Michael has always had a deep love for the city.

He studied Construction Management and Landscape Architecture at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and paired that with an Associate of Science in Business Administration. After graduating, Michael immediately returned home to begin his career in real estate. His background in project management, design, and construction gives him a unique perspective on the business, combining technical skill with a genuine interest in all things San Francisco.

In his first year, Michael was awarded Rookie of the Year by his brokerage. Since then, he has had the privilege of helping clients buy and sell homes across the Bay Area, surpassing the $100 million mark by the age of 27. Today, he continues to build on that momentum as part of a four-agent team — alongside Mike Shaw, Bernie Katzmann, and Mila Gelman — ranked in the top 1.5% of Realtors locally and nationally by RealTrends.

Together, the team brings complementary skill sets that create a seamless, client-focused experience. From thoughtfully preparing homes for market to guiding first-time buyers step by step, their mission is to make buying or selling a home in San Francisco smooth, strategic, and stress-free.

At the heart of Michael’s approach is building lasting relationships rooted in trust. He wants to make sure clients feel heard, valued, and supported, and is dedicated to guiding them with honesty with the goal of delivering results that exceed expectations. As his team likes to tell clients from the very first meeting: “We’d much rather talk you out of a transaction than talk you into one.”

Outside of real estate, Michael believes in balance — no easy feat in a 24/7 business. He is a proud homeowner in Eureka Valley and spends much of his time in the neighborhood. A lifelong athlete, he prioritizes health and fitness and can often be found at the gym in the early morning. In his free time, you’ll likely spot him exploring one of San Francisco’s 200+ parks with his Golden Retriever–Labrador, Archie, cycling through the Presidio, or practicing yoga. He also enjoys ceramics, painting, interior design, and photography.

WEB ACCESSIBILITY HELP

I AM DEAF OR HARD OF HEARING

If you are deaf or hard of hearing, there are several accessibility features available to you.

Transcripts

A text transcript is a text equivalent of audio information that includes spoken words and non-spoken sounds such as sound effects. We are working on adding transcripts to all scripted video and audio content.

Captioning

A caption is transcript for the audio track of a video presentation that is synchronized with the video and audio tracks. Captions are generally rendered visually by being superimposed over the video, which benefits people who are deaf and hard-of-hearing, and anyone who cannot hear the audio (e.g., when in a crowded room).

Volume controls

Your computer, tablet, or mobile device has volume control features. Each video and audio service has its own additional volume controls. Try adjusting both your device's volume controls and your media players' volume controls to optimize your listening experience.

I AM BLIND OR CAN'T SEE VERY WELL

If you have trouble seeing web pages, the US Social Security Administration offers these tips for optimizing your computer and browser to improve your online experience.

I can't see very well

  • Increase text size
  • Magnify your screen
  • Change background and text colors
  • Make your mouse pointer more visible (Windows only)

I am blind

  • Use the Keyboard to Navigate Screens
  • Navigate Forms
  • Get Link Details Using Title Attributes
  • Save & Print Forms and Confirmation Numbers

I FIND A KEYBOARD OR MOUSE HARD TO USE

If you find a keyboard or mouse difficult to use, speech recognition software such as Dragon NaturallySpeaking may help you navigate web pages and online services. This software allows the user to move focus around a web page or application screen through voice controls.
